About Zoë Griffin

Biography

Zoë attended the University of California at Santa Cruz for her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies. After graduating from the university, she went on to study the fundamental principles and practice of Swedish and deep tissue massage at the Cypress Institute in Santa Cruz. From this base she further refined and deepened her skills in bodywork through specialized training in sports massage through the Healing Arts Institute in Sacramento, and in Craniosacral Therapy through the Upledger Institute.  

Zoë had the honor of receiving her master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the prestigious Five Branches University. Her internships have included the university clinic in Santa Cruz, treating a wide variety of aliments and injuries with emphasis on musculoskeletal pain management, women’s health, and pediatrics. She also had the great privilege of  shadowing doctors in various hospitals and clinics in Hangzhou, China. In addition to her formal education, Zoë has been a practitioner of martial arts including Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Northern Shaolin Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Qigong, and Aikido. Zoë lives in Sacramento and has plans to further her education with a Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine with an emphasis in clinical applications.
